Bioprocess Engineering (Summer Term)

Elective course for 5./6. semester students in bachelor biomolecular engineering. 6 weeks block with 1h lecture, 1h seminar and 6h laboratory per day. 

 

Field Trip (Summer Term)

Field trip to the Camargue (Rhone delta, France), 1 week (saturday-saturday) with interested (and motivated) biology students. Main emphasis is on birds, but plants and insects are also covered. For info see News and pictures.
 

Team and Presentation (Summer Term)

Seminar for 4. semester students of bachelor biology. 2h seminar per week. Seminar on changing topics.

 

Biodiversity and Phylogeny (Summer Term)
Lecture course for 2. semester students of bachelor biology, bachelor of education. 3h lecture per week. I teach the part on fungi.

 

Yeast Gene Techniques (Winter Term)
Elective course for 5./6. semester students of bachelor biology and bachelor biomolecular engineering. 3 weeks block course. 1h lecture, 1h seminar, 6h laboratory per day.

 

Genetic Engineering (Winter Term)
Elective course for 5./6. semester students in bachelor biomolecular engineering. 2h lecture, 1h seminar per week. I teach the part on genetic engineering in yeast.

 

Metabolic Engineering (Summer Term)
Elective course for 5./6. semester students in bachelor biomolecular engineering. 2h lecture, 1h seminar per week. I teach the part on metabolic engineering in yeast.

 

Cell Biophysics (Summer Term)
Elective course for students of master technical biology and master biomolecular engineering. 6 weeks block course, 4h lecture, 4h seminar, 36h laboratory per week. Course taught together with G. Thiel.

 

Experiments for Biology Classes in High School (Summer Term)

Didactic course for students in the curriculum Lehramt an Gymnasien (teacher in high school). Block course with 16h lecture, 16h seminar and 32h laboratory.
